Use teamviewer with blockdown browser install#
I dont know how it works, but from what I understood, they cant have that without me knowing (I'd have to accept a request or install an add-on or something, so I'd basically know if they were using something like this). Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom web browser that is used to access quizzes in Canvas. Click on the Safari download button in the upper right corner of the Safari browser window and then double click on the download box to open the program. You have full access to their keyboard and mouse, you can see whats on their screen, lock their input (they cant use their own keyboard or mouse while you can), make their screen black and more.
I am not completely sure of this info but I was told that they can use something called safe exam browser that might be able to detect that I used TeamViewer or detect that I at least had another tab open (I was using a google doc). TeamViewer Lockdown: The program TeamViewer allows you to connect to another persons PC and control it. And, I was connected to PC B by TeamViewer during the first 15 mins so that someone else (who wasn't taking the test and didnt have access to it) could see the questions. TeamViewer introduces a new online support feature known as TeamViewer Web Connector.
Basically, yes I was on PC A, it had the test on moodle as well as something like Google meet open so that someone would be monitoring me during the test (using only mic and camera, we weren't informed about and asked to share screens).
